Well, it's quiz night, and yes, I've baked the cake...

but now we're in a quandary - is it cheese or is it cake? It's not cheesecake (too easy!)

It's both!

There's a cake (chocolate fudge if you're askin'), but it's all about winning the cheese!

So, the quiz covers six categories - just like a game of Trivial Pursuit. Plus there's plenty of current affairs in there, so I hope you've being paying attention to the goings on in the world over the last bit...

Tuesday Quiz Night has rolled around again & this time it's all about man (& woman) throughout history....

development, history, inventions, exploration, philosophy.....

it's a biggie, but lets face it, there's a lot of source material to work from! We're a pretty diverse species.

shall be spending the evening crafting you guys a quiz, so see you at the bar!

quiz will start circa 9.30pm after the football, so why not head on down for some great pub grub & the match, and round off your evening by exercising your little grey cells!

We're going to have a lot of fun with this one!

Question: is it normal to have to ask 6 times to get the simple fundementals done?

I hereby acknowledge that everybody else is normal and sain -


Although i help most people and have the for-sight to ensure easy passage for all around me.
I also use good English. to make sure there is no way of misconstruing my meaning.
I can show and teach ppl who dont understand.
My portions are big - i cook meals with love -
I go the extra mile -
I have an opinion -
I ask for nothing except courtesy, honesty and respect..


there are about 10% around me who give that - and that is poor


If you cant beat em  - join em ... they used to say...
I think my new model is just do what everyone else does - they shouldnt be pissed off if the model is the same as theirs.

MUSINGS ON ALL THINGS QUIZINESS....

Another Tuesday Quiz Night in the bag, and my mind is set to wonder about next weeks offering.

As you must know by now we try & do it a little differently at The Despard....

....a good cross-section of questions difficulty-wise, but we don't take it too seriously (lots of good natured banter and funness!)

And these days there's always a theme.

At some stage I'd like to do a quiz based on the senses - taste, touch, sight, smell.... could be fun!

but it's going to need some serious prep, so for now, i shall continue my musings re next week....
