yesterday it was all about starting the day with champagne & smoked salmon blinis....

....progressing onto a starter of lobster & giant prawns...

....followed by roast turkey with all the trimmings!

today it's all about the CHEESE!!

we've got loads of the stuff & pickles & grapes & crackers...

yummy! loads of the obligatory Boxing Day sport on the TV, so I declare that today is officially a cheesy, sporting fest!

...but as your tame Bar Grinch, I'm not stealing Christmas - instead I am gifting you a Christmas Quiz!

This time next week it'll be Christmas Eve & I know that fills some of your hearts with joy & merriment!

Me - I'm your very own Christmas Grinch - not amused by it all & very definitely not the crazy weather - I mean have you tried walking anywhere?! It's a death-trap-ice-rink out there!

But in spite of my Grinch-iness, I am compiling all you lovely peeps a fun ol' Christmas & Winter-Wonderland themed Quiz for next Tuesday - 21st December.

Oh & I caved in to pressure & much pitiful whining & bought the bar boys some mistletoe - so all you loverly ladies (& guys) pucker up & give 'em somat to smile about whilst they're grafting during this festive season!

Quiz Night is upon us once again.....

And this time it's entitled -

'Space, the Final Frontier - to Infinity & Beyond'

Fairly broad, but even i don't know what to expect - I've not finished it yet!

Looking like a late night for me (again).

Start time is 9.30pm, but why not come down a bit earlier & make an evening of it? grab some great pub grub & have a couple of jars before the off!

Looks great tho. Pub looking like there's been a cross between an explosion in a glitter factory and a bordello....

but it's feeling festive, and the mulled wine and cider are flowing freely!

I've even stopped being the ultimate grinch of Christmas and caved in and brought Christmas cards and even mistletoe - to keep the bar boys happy in their never-ending quest for romance - or maybe just a smooch with the loverly ladies...!
